Hello and welcome! You’ve found your way to the first post of the Ghostlore Blog. Though I’ve been lurking in the shadows of the internet for years, I’m ready to put my ideas out into the world. My name is Dan, and you can read more about me and Ghostlore here.
I’m very excited to debut this ever evolving project! This blog is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to the hobbies of gaming and storytelling. Many of those reading this first post are likely friends and family that have been strong armed into following… and I appreciate you. But if you did happen to find it on your own, thank you sincerely for taking an interest in this new online community. I hope that together we can build something great!
What is Ghostlore Studios?
Ghostlore is defined as the study or knowledge of ghosts, spirits, and the supernatural. It has always been a particular interest of mine and seems to seep into other areas of my life. When I got deeper into tabletop gaming, I was drawn to the darker, more mysterious, and creepier aspects of the games. I decided to combine these interests to create the game studio of my dreams and produce the stuff of nightmares!
At its core, Ghostlore Studios is a new independent game company that focuses on creating and developing content for role-playing games, tabletop games, and (eventually) video games. Ghostlore’s content and products are influenced by the macabre or supernatural. Therefore, I’d like to conduct a tarot reading in the spirit of spookiness. Let’s peer into the past, explore the present, and pry into the future of this exciting new venture…
Past: The Magician
Creativity, Originality, and Skill
I’ve been interested in writing, creating, and tabletop gaming since I was a kid. As an adult, my career is in the fields of graphic design, marketing, and user experience. Because of this, I apply the principles from these disciplines to game creation. A countless amount of time has been spent developing concepts, crafting strategies, and honing the skills that will make my vision for Ghostlore become a reality.
Present: Strength
Conviction, Energy, and Determination
The Ghostlore Blog is the cornerstone of this vision. This weekly blog delivers content that ranges from downloadable PDFs, alternate rulesets for existing games, one shot adventures, game master insight, reviews, guest creator content, and more. The goal is to create a vibrant online community and develop a toolbox of digital resources for game masters and players alike.

Ghostlore’s overarching objective is to produce unique and original games. Moving forward, I want to gain enough momentum to keep creating useful, usable, and fun content. I’m hopeful that this blog resonates with people and enriches their hobbies.
